Jesus at the temple which others had turned into a marketplace
And the disciples and Christ came to Jerusalem.
And they went to the temple.
And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the
changers of money sitting…
And Jesus saw that the temple had been made into a market place by this.
And all those who sold there at the temple, he cast them out from the temple.
And those there as at a market to buy they too he cast out.
And he chased them out who had set up shop to sell doves.
And the tables of the moneychangers he overturned and sent them running who
stood for these transactions.
He would not allow any commerce in the temple.
Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
Jesus worked many miracles.
But it is not for miracles one adores him.
One adores him for the pure wisdom he brought. And the courage and daring
that goes with wisdom.
