Against the clear blue sky
are the thick black locks of Siva
and there is the crescent that shines
in the locks
and there is a brilliant aura,
a brilliant light encircles the Lords's head.
The Lord's body is covered in pure ash.
The creatures of the earth sit calmly
round the Lord
some are comfortable round his arms
and some round his neck.

The Mahayogi's body glows like the full moon.
It is a gentle glow; it is a glow of wise effort and concentration;
an effortless glow of peace and calm.
The lord's feet rest in the padmasana. His hands rest on his knees with the tips of the thumbs and the index fingers touching one another.
This is the Mahayogi.
This is the Siva, the master of all three gunas.
This is the Mahayogi, shiny and resplendent,
magnificent and glorious.
