We live in an age of tremendous movements of peoples across our world: an age of diasporas, in which people move from present countries to new ones.
This movement can be analyzed in different ways but it brings with it at least two areas of interest that The Migrant a newcomer’s notes seeks to capture: the personal experience of this movement and settling in; and the energetic movement, interchange and intermingling of ideas and cultures.
