Dance too to the calm and peace and to the gentle birds slowly retiring to
their nests;
dance to the worms that stick their heads out to see
and to the subterranean creatures too that have come;
dance to the smile that plays on the lips of the infants
and dance to the roar of the beasts and animals of untamed forests.
Dance before the ignorant
dance before the clamouring masses
dance before the violent, dance before the anxious
and the insecure and the weak and the palpitating;
dance before the lowest emotions and the ugly and the distorted
and dance before the noblest, the beautiful
and the steady and constant
O in my heart, Lord of Knowledge, O on the platform there, raised in my heart,
there dance you, Lord of Wisdom,
so that all will be still
so that all will be silent
as you dance before the wise, even before the ignorant.
Before the clamouring masses
before the violent, the anxious, the insecure and the weak
and the palpitating and the lowest emotions
and the ugly and the distorted
as you dance before the noblest, the beautiful
and the steady and constant.
O dance before these, Pillayar, for they are my emotions and thoughts, and
unruly though they be,
they shall be still before your dance.
O Lord, dance, you sweet Lord of my atma,
dance you in my heart to bring to all things calm, peace and quiet.
Bring that stillness that comes
in your name uttered with love: Jai Ganesha.
Dance, Lord, dance in my heart; in my heart, on the raised platform there,
O Lord of Perfect Delight; Ganesha,
Lord of Joy, dance you in my heart.
Radiant Dancer,
Dancer of Bliss;
Child of the two Divine Dancers,
dancing all into existence
dancing life, sustenance, dancing joy
Jai Ganesha, Jai Ganesha
Jai Ganesha, Jai Ganesha
dancer of order, dancer of chaos
dancer of the instant, the moment, the present
dancing the Om, dancing the syllable
Jai Ganesha, Jai Ganesha
Jai Ganesha, Jai Ganesha
