Against the clear blue sky are the thick black locks of
Siva and there is the crescent that shines in the locks
and there is a brilliant aura,
a brilliant light encircles the Lords’s head.
The Lord’s body is covered in pure ash.
The creatures of the earth sit calmly round the Lord some are comfortable
round his arms
and some round his neck.
The Mahayogi’s body glows like the full moon.
It is a gentle glow; it is a glow of wise effort and concentration;
an effortless glow of peace and calm.
The lord’s feet rest in the padmasana. His hands rest on his knees with
the tips of the thumbs and the index fingers touching one another.
This is the Mahayogi.
This is the Siva, the master of all three gunas.
This is the Mahayogi, shiny and resplendent,
magnificent and glorious.

Behold Shiva, Father, God, Husband,
The Family Man
and here is Siva adorned with gold,
and shining and glowing with the full radiance of his children and wife.
For on his right sits Lord Ganesa
and on his lap is Sakti, who carries the divine child Kartikkeya.
They are all adorned with jewels and gold and precious stones. They are adorned
with sandlewood paste and rich clothes. They are all aglow with abundance
and plenty.
They are all adorned with the riches of the world.
For this is the abode of wisdom, grace, joy, bliss and abundance and dharma.
Thus the father smiles with joy.
Thus the son Ganesha smiles with joy.
Thus Mother Sakti smiles with joy.
Thus the son Kartikkeya smiles with joy.
The abundance of the earth and the fields are all around Siva.
Behold Siva, Father, Husband, the Family Man of the Divine Family of Bliss;
behold Siva, father, husband, the father of the universe, the benign father
of all beings.
This is the father who provides
who provides
his children with all good things
even before they ask.
This is the father who provides the will and wisdom to riches, wealth, abundance
and plenty and ease.
Through this is every family blessed. Through this is every family endowed
with abundance and dignity and achievement and ease and comfort.
